AMD Releases Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 21.Q1 for Linux

AMD today released their Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 21.Q1 driver packages for Windows and Linux systems.

The Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise is AMD's driver package updated quarterly that is focused on their Radeon Pro products and older FirePro professional graphics while being derived from the same driver sources as their consumer Radeon Software drivers just with added QA and focus on enterprise use-cases. In the case of Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise for Linux, still offering both AMDGPU-Open and AMDGPU-PRO components.

On the Windows side, the Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 21.Q1 release brings improvements to their driver's GUI. There are also performance optimizations. Those Windows release details can be seen here.

The Radeon Software / Radeon Pro Software Linux drivers do not offer any GUI control panel and thus a less notable update than on the Windows side.

Today's Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 21.Q1 for Linux only notes the below changes within the public release notes. The issues fixed include:

- Driver installation error on Ubuntu 20.04.1.
- Out of memory issue with Nuke 12.2.
- Driver installation issue while using two different GPUs in the same system.
