Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 reached its general availability status this morning.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 brings a lot faster networking: "significant enhancements to networking performance, even doubling throughput in some use cases." The faster RHEL networking performance is due to tuning the kernel network stack, other changes, and "TCP (DCTCP), a feature for solving TCP congestion problems in data centers that works smoothly across Windows- and Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based hosts to maximize throughput and efficiency."

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 also has significant container updates, security improvements, and more.
