AMD's Radeon R9 Fury Showing Some Gains With AMDGPU's DRM-Next 4.12

On Friday I posted some early AMDGPU benchmarks of the DRM-Next code slated for Linux 4.12 using a Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" graphics card. As some additional reference points, here are some Linux 4.10 vs. 4.11 vs. (4.12; DRM-Next) code with an R9 Fury "Fiji" graphics solution.

Here are some additional Linux 4.10 stable vs. Linux 4.11 Git vs. DRM-Next (the updated AMDGPU code slated for Linux 4.12) using a Radeon R9 Fury.

Mesa 17.1-dev meanwhile was running on the system via the Padoka PPA paired with each of the kernels, all other system settings/variables remained the same. Tests done with RadeonSI for OpenGL and RADV for Vulkan.
Similar to the Polaris tests, Linux 4.12 is looking like it will be faster for Dota 2 with its Vulkan renderer for both the RX 480 and R9 Fury.

We previously reported on the Dota 2 Vulkan Radeon improvements slated for Linux 4.11, it's great to see Linux 4.12 will also be very exciting.

Meanwhile, Mad Max with Vulkan saw about the same performance on DRM-Next.

Metro Last Light Redux appears to be faster with DRM-Next on the Radeon R9 Fury.
