QEMU 2.7 To Support New ARM Boards, Intel Graphics VFIO & More
QEMU 2.7.0-rc0 was released yesterday as the first test version of this next feature release.
QEMU 2.7 is going to be another hearty feature update to this important piece of the open-source Linux virtualization puzzle. Some of the changes in QEMU 2.7 include Xilinx Zynq ZCU102 board support, ARM Security Extensions for Xilinx Zynq boards, various other ARM board enhancements, initial GIC Support on MIPS, support for LMCE (Local MCE) virtualization in conjunction with the Linux 4.8 kernel or newer, virtio-blk now supports multiqueues, support for Xen paravirtualized USB, support for device assignment of Intel integrated graphics with VFIO, VirtIO improvements, 20% speed improvements to the TCG code generator, and a variety of other fixes and enhancements.
