OpenWRT 15.05 Preparing Improved Security & Better Networking
The first release candidate to OpenWRT 15.05, the "Chaos Calmer", is now available for testing.
OpenWRT 15.05 is based on the Linux 3.18 kernel and is bringing improved security features, improved networking support, and various new platform and driver support. The Chaos Calmer's improved security comes with support for hardened builds and support for Jails. The improved networking is for supporting many new 3G/4G models, 464XLAT support, improved support for self-managing networks, better multi-core handling of the network stack, improved DNSSEC support, and added support for smart queue management. Platform/driver work on OpenWRT 15.05 RC1 includes support for the Raspberry Pi 2.
