OpenMandriva Lx3 Beta 1 Finally Released, Built With Clang+LTO By Default
The OpenMandriva developers have just announced the release of OpenMandriva Lx3 Beta 1 that's been worked on for more than the past year.
OpenMandriva Lx3 Beta 1 uses the KDE Plasma 5.6 desktop, ships with an LXQt desktop option, experimental Wayland support for the Plasma desktop usage, and X.Org Server 1.18.2 and Mesa 11.2 on the display front.
OpenMandriva Lx3 packages are being built with the LLVM Clang compiler with LTO (Link Time Optimizations) being enabled by default for faster performance.
More details on today's beta release can be found via the OpenMandriva.org blog.
