Desura Game Platform Goes Into Beta On Linux
The Desura Game Client, which is a similar service to Valve's Steam game distribution platform for e-delivery, is now in beta on Linux.
The first bits of Desura have been running on Linux within their development labs going back to May. In July we then heard the Desura Linux client was nearly ready.
Today we are hearing that the Desura Linux client is ready and is now out in the wild for beta testing. The client is available for download and execution, but you can't log into the e-delivery game distribution service unless you're a selected beta tester.
Once the initial bugs are worked out, the Linux beta will be opened up to all Linux gamers.
