Linux Game Publishing Is Working On A New Port
Linux Game Publishing fell off a cliff last year when their main (and only) server crashed and was offline for about two months time causing their DRM server to go with it, etc. It was at a time that LGP wasn't also publicly announcing any future work or other projects, which led many to wonder whether LGP was finally being laid to rest in a similar manner to Loki Software. However, even once they came back online, no new announcements were made. They've now only finally commented about the future.
In a blog post entitled Still alive and kicking they mention there's a new port in progress. It's currently undergoing internal alpha testing, but the public (but restricted) beta testing should get underway soon.
Sadly though, the port is unannounced. They haven't yet dropped any hints on what this next title may be or even if it's just another obscure game originally released a decade ago for Windows and now is coming to Linux, or if it's actually a decent major title.
Additionally, "We're also working on a few other things that we should be announcing in the near future."
When we find out the name of the next game, we'll pass it along. We're also part of all LGP's beta tests.
