Cinelerra 4.2 Video Editor Released

While OpenShot and PiTiVi are the two currently most talked about open-source non-linear video editing systems for Linux, that's not all there is out there. There's also Kdenlive, Kino, an open-source Lightworks is coming soon, and then perhaps the most advanced open-source video editor of them all: Cinelerra.

Cinelerra is not only very advanced but it's been around for quite a long-time, since 2002, and before that it was known as Broadcast 2000. Cinelerra is still under open-source development and as sign of that there is now Cinelerra 4.2, which has just been released and succeeds Cinelerra 4.1 that was introduced more than a year ago.

We have yet to see any release announcement or official change-log for Cinelerra 4.2, but the source-code release is definitely out in the wild as can be found on SourceForge.

From what we have been able to find on Cinelerra 4.2 it looks like this release just carries bug-fixes and other minor work, including a new "align edits" feature.
