LINUX GAMING
We've been itching for Unigine Corp to publicly release the Unigine Heaven tech demo for Linux with its advanced OpenGL renderer, since the DirectX 11 version launched last October with heavenly graphics, but GPU driver bugs have held up the OpenGL Linux release.

Last month we reported that Unigine was working on a major Heaven update and their GDC preparations. While an updated version of Heaven for Windows or the Linux client was not released at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last week, it looks like "Heaven 2.0" is set to be released on the 26th of this month. We know the Windows version will arrive on that date, but it looks like the Linux version is still up in the air. Let's hope this month's Linux graphics drivers will pave the way for the long overdue release of this incredible benchmark / tech demo.
