Intel's 2.7 Graphics Driver Still Has Problems

Continuing on from our benchmarks yesterday where we looked at the greedy migration heuristics performance and early Linux 2.6.30 benchmarks, we have tested out the xf86-video-intel 2.7.0 driver with the Linux 2.6.30-rc2 kernel. We tested out both UXA and EXA acceleration.
All of these results can be found over at Phoronix Global. As you can see, there are improvements in some areas, but Intel's Linux performance is still in shambles and all over the place. UXA is still running slower than EXA in some areas too.
It looks like it may be a little while longer before these problems get worked out in Intel's Linux graphics driver. Though if you appreciate these benchmarks, be sure to follow our Twitter feed or RSS feed.
