NetworkManager 1.2 Adds MAC Address Randomization
For providing network tracking protection and out of privacy concerns, NetworkManager 1.2 has added a feature that was first found in Apple's iOS 8 and has since been found in Windows 10 too.
The new feature to be found in the upcoming NetworkManager 1.2 release is MAC address randomization.
For privacy-concerned individuals, NetworkManager 1.2 paired with wpa_supplication 2.3 will feature MAC address randomization so your network hardware's unique MAC address doesn't need to be exposed to unauthorized networks.
More details on the MAC address randomization feature can be found via this blog post by developer Lubomir Rintel.
