NVIDIA 381.26.20 Vulkan Linux Driver Brings Full-Screen Flipping
While NVIDIA's Vulkan Linux driver performance has already been very good, it's potentially even better now with the newest NVIDIA Vulkan beta driver.
The NVIDIA 381.26.20 Vulkan driver is now available with bug fixes and one new feature for Linux users: full-screen flipping. The NVIDIA Vulkan Linux driver now supports using X11 swapchains for full-screen flipping of Vulkan applications. This may increase the performance of Vulkan applications/games running in full-screen mode on Linux.
This 381.26.20 driver update also has a variety of bug fixes around NVX_multiview_per_view_attributes, handling of SPIR-V SSBO layout qualifiers, atomic operations, and more.
This latest NVIDIA Linux Vulkan beta is available for download from developer.nvidia.com. Great to see NVIDIA continuing to advance their Vulkan driver stack in a steadfast manner.
