NVIDIA Signed Firmware Published For Pascal GP102/GP104/GP106/GP107
Yesterday I wrote about initial Nouveau open-source acceleration for GeForce GTX 1050/1060/1070/1080 GPUs and now the signed firmware images needed for pairing with that code are readily available.
The Pascal firmware images for the GP102/GP104/GP106/GP107 graphics processors is now available within the linux-firmware Git tree. But as mentioned in this earlier article, it remains the basic, signed firmware blobs similar to Maxwell and there isn't yet any Pascal (or Maxwell) re-clocking support atop this current open-source graphics driver stack.
The firmware addition by NVIDIA's Alexandre Courbot simply reads, "These NVIDIA-signed firmwares are required to enable the graphics engine on Pascal GP10x GPUs."
