Microsoft Rolls Out .NET Core RC2, .NET Core SDK Preview 1 With Linux Support

It's been over a half-year since the .NET Core RC1 release and there's been many changes. In particular, new APIs, performance improvements, and more tools. One of the new tools is the dotnet command-line utility to replace some older tools.
Officially supported by .NET Core RC2 for Linux is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2, CentOS 7.1, Debian 8.2~8.4, and Ubuntu 14.04. Microsoft is said to still be working on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS support ahead of the official .NET Core release. The RC2 bundle is also going to be packaged by Red Hat into their next RHEL Software Collection.
