Cairo-Dock 3.4 Shows A Lot Of Progress, Works Toward EGL/Wayland Support

It's been about one year since last hearing any Cairo-Dock news, but this evening there's a new release! Cairo-Dock has various improvements to its desktop interface offering that continues to work in replace of -- or in addition to -- the standard Linux desktop environments.

The just-released Cairo-Dock 3.4 allows new menu customizations, a unified style for all components of the dock, better integration with Compiz and Cinnamon, applet improvements, and starts working on EGL and Wayland support. There's also an assortment of bug fixes and other improvements.

The Cairo-Dock Wayland support right now is rather basic but can run under the latest version of Wayland's Weston. Cairo-Dock Wayland improvements are ongoing.
