Linux 3.19 To Have Full Multi-Touch For More Logitech Devices
Jiri Kosina has lined up his HID subsystem changes for the Linux 3.19 kernel that include more multi-touch device work and other input improvements.
Highlights of new HID features in Linux 3.19 include:
- The Logitech driver now supporting the vendor-specific HID++ protocol. As a result of supporting this extended protocol, the driver delivers full multi-touch support for a wider range of Logitech touchpads. The Linux kernel's new hidpp module takes care of this Logitech HID++ protocol support.
- The logitech-hidpp driver now supports the Wireless Touchpad T650, the combo keyboard touchpad of the TK820, the first Logitech Wireless Touchpad, etc.
- Linux 3.19 supports the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Type Cover.
- RMI touch-pad support improvements.
- Updates to the Wacom input driver.
