Yahoo To Become Default Search Provider For Firefox

Mozilla announced on Wednesday that Yahoo is going to become the default search provider for Firefox rather than Google.

A majority of Mozilla's revenue has come from the Google search partnership but Yahoo is now taking over that role to be the default search engine in the United States. Thanks to this partnership, Yahoo is supporting Firefox Do Not Track technology.

Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay, Amazon, Twitter and Wikipedia will continue to be alternative search options supported by default.

For Firefox in Russia, Yandex will become the default search provider. Baidu the default search provider in China. Users in other countries will have their choice of search engines.
