The Exciting QEMU 2.1 Is Up To Its Release Candidate Phase

The first release candidate to the upcoming QEMU 2.1 was released on Tuesday.

QEMU 2.1-rc1 was tagged hours ago by Peter Maydell in preparation for a planned release at the end of July. At the moment, the QEMU 2.1 schedule pegs the final release date as 29 July.

QEMU 2.1 brings many ARM improvements, improved USB support, and a ton of other improvements/features that have already been documented on Phoronix while the latest change-log for 2.1 can be found via the QEMU Wiki.

The fresh QEMU 2.1 test release can be downloaded at QEMU-Project.org.
