Scientific Linux 7 Alpha Arrives, Based On RHEL 7
Scientific Linux, the distribution developed by produced by the Fermi Laboratory and CERN as a derivative of the open Red Hat Enterprise Linux code-base, is preparing for their RHEL7 re-spin.
Scientific Linux 7 Alpha is out today based on the recent RHEL7 release with a focus on scientific computing. With this alpha release the SL add-ons aren't all included and the developers are still deciding on the packages/utilities to be included in the release.
