GNOME Mutter 3.13.2 Brings HiDPI Support On Wayland
GNOME 3.10 brought initial work on HiDPI support -- displays with very high pixel densities -- and that support improved greatly with GNOME 3.12. Most of that work up to now has been about supporting HiDPI displays under the X.Org Server, but now for GNOME 3.14 there's basic HiDPI support for Mutter on Wayland.
With today's Mutter window manager 3.13.2 release there is basic HiDPI support on Wayland, which landed in Git earlier this month. The Wayland HiDPI support within GNOME has been worked on for several weeks via this bug report and the fruits of that work is now present within Mutter 3.13.2 for the imminent GNOME 3.13.2 release -- a development version in the road to September's release of GNOME 3.14.
Besides this basic HiDPI support, GNOME 3.14 is also slated to have many other Wayland improvements.
