Raspberry Pi B+ ARM Debian Benchmarks

The Raspberry Pi B+ was announced last week as the last revision to the original RPi. The B+ board has more GPIO pins, a total of four USB 2.0 ports, a micro SD port, improved audio, and form factor improvements. However, the Raspberry Pi B+ is still using the Broadcom BCM2835 and there's still just 512MB of system memory.
With the Raspberry Pi B+ still using the same SoC with the single-core 700MHz ARM1176JZF-S CPU, these new benchmarks aren't particularly exciting or different from the existing Raspberry Pi "Model B" single board computer. However, some independent party has done some benchmarks of both models using the open-source Phoronix Test Suite benchmarking software and shared the results using OpenBenchmarking.org.
Those wishing to see the Raspberry Pi B+ performance benchmarks with a Debian Linux host, the results are available from 1407220-BY-1407183GL47. To see how the results compare against your own Linux systems, with the Phoronix Test Suite you simply need to run phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1407220-BY-1407183GL47 to conduct a quick, fully-automated, side-by-side performance comparison.
