Mesa 10.0 Lands As A Fedora 20 Stable Update

A few days ago I mentioned Mesa 10.0 would likely be a Fedora 20 stable update and today that's finally been cleared with Mesa 10.0 landing to replace the original Mesa 9.2 packages of F20 from last year.

Mesa 10.0 has many improvements to open-source graphics drivers including OpenGL 3.3 support for core Mesa and the Intel DRI driver, performance improvements, new Gallium3D features, and other improvements.

With Fedora 21 not coming until very late in 2014, major new releases of Mesa 3D are coming down in a similar manner to the updated Linux kernels for Fedora. MATE 1.8 and GNOME 3.12 are among the other notable updates that will likely be stable release updates for F20 users.

Per the FedoraProject.org Apps, the Mesa package version updated for Fedora 20 is version 10.0.3 while Mesa 10.0.4 is already within Fedora's updates-testing.
