While the Ubuntu Music App is still in its infancy, a pragmatic redesign is already in the works with a priority focus on tablet/desktop design and then a path towards the phone version with complete convergence. Among their upcoming work items besides the UI redesign is migrating to the new Media Hub and MediaScanner 2.0, bottom edge gestures for the phone/tablet implementation, Last.FM and Scrobble support, and other usability improvements for the phone version.
