Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Is Now Under A Feature Freeze

Jonathan Riddell confirmed this morning in a mailing list post that the freeze did go into effect and happened as planned without any slippage. "Developers should now work on squishing all the beasties out of the archive to make a solid release suitable for Long Term Support."
Next week will be *buntu 14.04 Beta 1 for the Ubuntu derivatives that do the organized development releases in place of recommending daily ISOs.
Now that there's the feature freeze, we have a fairly good idea for all the major improvements to be found in this next Ubuntu Long Term Support release... You can see the many Ubuntu 14.04 articles on Phoronix covering all of the changes.
With Ubuntu 14.04 LTS not using Mir on the desktop, now featuring the long-awaited local menus, featuring a refined Unity 7 interface, pulling in Mesa 10.1 and the Linux 3.13~3.14 kernel, and a whole lot of other package updates, what do you think of this next release going forward? Will you be using it or are you using something else? Let us know in the forums or via Phoronix on the various social networks.
