A Look At The New Gedit GUI In GNOME 3.12

Back in January we wrote about the UI overhaul for Gedit 3.12 and now that we're up to the GNOME 3.12 Beta state and the UI freeze going into effect, we have a good feel for how the GNOME text editor will look in the next major desktop release.
Gedit 3.12 makes use of GTK's new GtkPopover widget, many dialogs now use header bars, the GTK tabs have been refined, and the overall user-interface is designed to be more "elegant and minimalistic."
Those curious about the Gedit 3.12 appearance can find some screenshots and more information in this blog post by GNOME's Club Silencio.
