NVIDIA 331.49 Driver Released For Linux Users

NVIDIA has released the 331.49 Linux graphics driver today, but it's not what you might think.

This morning NVIDIA released their first Maxwell GPU today in form of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (along with a non-Ti) version and they also confirmed the GTX Titan Black. Today's 331 driver release for Linux users and gamers isn't about supporting either hardware but is a stable release update to provide other fixes.

The NVIDIA 331.49 driver release provides first of all hardware support for the Kepler-based GeForce GT 710 and GeForce 825M graphics hardware. Other changes to this stable Linux graphics driver update include a InbandStereoSignaling DisplayPort X configuration option, experimental support for ARGB GLX visuals when Xinerama and Composite are enabled on X.Org Server 1.15, and various bug-fixes. The bug-fixes include regressions with the nvidia-installer and a PBO issue.
