For those using Xamarin Studio for their Mono app development, the integrated development environment will soon be featuring some enhancements for an improved debugging experience.

Jeffrey Stedfast of Xamarin has written about ongoing improvements to the Xamarin Studio IDE for bettering the development experience. Among the work is the ability to set next statements when resuming execution in the debugger, an upcoming run-to cursor option, and client-side evaluation of simple properties.

Most of the upcoming Xamarin Studio enhancements will likely land with version 5.0.1 of the IDE focused around Mono development.
