The Current Performance Of GLAMOR Acceleration

Keith Packard, the X.Org Server release maintainer and one of the developers that's been heavily involved in pushing GLAMOR, has written a new blog post about the topic. While Intel has SNA right now as their high-performance acceleration architecture for X11, there's some developers that prefer GLAMOR due to being generic and requiring a lot less code than the massive beast that SNA has become in order to squeeze out maximum performance. Additionally, with being a generic means of 2D acceleration and relying upon OpenGL, developers are planning to take advantage of it as the means of acceleration with XWayland instead of still depending upon hardware-specific DDX drivers.
Anyhow, for those curious about the latest GLAMOR performance when using x11perf and running the Intel X11 graphics tests from a Gigabyte Brix system, the results can be found on Keith's blog.
