Snappy 1.0 Open-Source Video Player Released

Snappy is an open-source media player that's powered via GStreamer 1.x while using the Clutter tool-kit for its interface rendering. Developers feel the media player is now mature enough to declare it version 1.0.
Snappy 1.0 features visual polishing, adjustable speed playback, video/audio synchronization tweaking, improved drag-and-drop, media history handling, and many bug-fixes.
Some of the features that were already present in Snappy include subtitle support, multi-screen full-screen, a desktop launcher, media playback history, frame stepping, and other advanced A/V features. Snappy was originally covered on Phoronix last November and has been making great progress in the months that followed.
More details on this latest GStreamer + Clutter media player can be found via the 1.0 blog announcement.
