Snappy: A GStreamer & Clutter Powered Movie Player

The Snappy media player project was started back in 2011 but hasn't received much attention to date. New releases have been seldom and it doesn't yet have any compelling features to put it on par with VLC or even Totem: it's just interesting for its use of GStreamer and Clutter while being a minimal design.
The snappy-player release that happened this week has a user-interface redesign with a new layout and icons, supports drag-and-drop of media files into Snappy, has been ported to the GStreamer 1.0 API, works on Windows / OS X / Android now too, handles multi-screen desktop full-screening, support for media queues, and has an option now to run without a user-interface.
