Git 1.9 Coming Soon & Brings Various Changes

The first pre release candidate to Git 1.9 is now available. This next major update to the Git revision control system brings various changes.

There's many new features added to various sub-commands and other minor enhancements found within this week's release of Git 1.9-rc0, but nothing too jaw dropping.

For those wanting to read about the great number of Git 1.9 changes so far with the RC0 release, the release announcement can be found on the Linux kernel mailing list.
