Progress Being Made On CentOS 7, Based Off RHEL7

Released earlier this month was Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Beta 1 as the first public preview image of the forthcoming RHEL7 with its GNOME 3 desktop, updated Anaconda installer, XFS file-system by default, and other changes pulled in from recent Fedora releases.
From my testing of RHEL7 Beta 1, it looks/works great and performs great. I've also shared some early Ubuntu 14.04 LTS vs. RHEL7 development benchmarks and a six-way Linux distribution comparison including this first Red Hat Enterprise 7 Beta.
While Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 isn't going to be officially released for likely several more months, CentOS developers have already begun recreating it to form CentOS 7.0.
There isn't any major news to share on the work today, but the developers have begun posting in general CentOS/RHEL 7 information and thoughts to a new blog created at seven.centos.org. Check it out if you're interested in Enterprise Linux 7!
