Portable OpenCL v0.8 Brings Forward A Lot More CL
Version 0.8 of POCL, the Portable Computing/OpenCL Language implementation, is now available. POCL continues to be focused on producing an efficient open-source implementation of the OpenCL 1.2 and 2.0 specifications.
Portable Computing Language 0.8 supports the new LLVM/Clang 3.3 compiler for which it is dependent upon, adds inner-loop parallelization in the kernel compiler, is now using the Vecmathlib library for an efficient math library, bug-fixes, and several new OpenCL API implementations.
POCL developers believe Portable Computing Language 0.8 is ready for wider-scale testing but the OpenCL 1.2 compliance isn't yet fully complete.
