Radeon DRM Gets More Fixes For Linux 3.11 Kernel
AMD's Alex Deucher has submitted another Radeon DRM pull request for the Linux 3.11 kernel to provide more fixes. This time the bug-fixes are "all over the place" for this open-source graphics driver.
There's already been multiple Radeon DRM pulls for the Linux 3.11 code due to the dynamic power management support and addressing the early fallout.
With today's new pull request, there's a notable fix concerning TTM that caused hangs on boot for a number of different systems. There's also a dynamic power management fix for some systems with integrated Radeon graphics, buffer-object copy callback using the CP DMA engine, the CPA DMA engine on R600 for buffer object moves, aligning VM Page Table Blocks to 32K, handling boost states properly when forcing a performance level for AMD SUMO hardware, and some other work.
In total this post-RC1 pull request for the Radeon kernel graphics driver is the better part of a thousand lines of code. It can currently be found on the dri-devel list.
