Systemd 208 Brings Logind Wayland Magic
Lennart Poettering has announced the release of systemd 208, which is mostly a mundane release but does have one new feature.
The new systemd 208 feature comes down to logind device management for Wayland and in the end allows for generic multi-session support and secure session switching of hardware devices.
Most of the other systemd 208 changes are clean-ups and bug-fixes, but there's also new kernel command-line options, support for reading ACPI 5.0 FPDT performance information as part of boot-time performance measurements, and numerous other small changes.
More details on systemd 208 can be found via the mailing list release announcement.
