WebKitGTK+ 2.1.91 Supports Wayland As A Target

WebKitGTK+ 2.2 will be released soon and with it comes work on supporting Wayland as an alternative to X11. Several months back I wrote about it on Phoronix when Igalia developers began talking about their work on porting WebKitGTK+ to Wayland. Among the applications depending upon this GTK+ port of WebKit are GNOME's Epiphany web-browser and the Midori browser, which was already ported to Wayland this year.
Aside from WebKitGTK+ 2.1.91 having support for building with Wayland as a platform target, this new development release has made the GStreamer source element thread-safe, the WebKitGTK+ build should be back to working on GNU/Hurd, accelerated compositing detection, and rendering fixes.
More details on WebKitGTK+ 2.1.91 can be found via its mailing list announcement.
