NOUVEAU
Christoph Bumiller published a set of new Linux kernel DRM driver patches for Nouveau, which includes support for VRAM compression.

The independent Nouveau contributor, Christoph Bumiller, posted a set of four patches to the Nouveau mailing list. The first patch introduces support for VRAM compression within the "NVC0" driver component, which supports the "Fermi" and "Kepler" NVIDIA graphics hardware. This VRAM compression is only applicable to graphics cards with dedicated video memory.

Christoph's Nouveau DRM driver work also takes care of some other support improvements for NVC0/NVE0 and ultimately he provides a patch that bumps the DRM driver version to 1.1.1 as a result of the improvements.
