Mageia 3 Beta 3 Ships Linux 3.8, Uses Journalctl

Mageia 3 Beta 3 was announced on Sunday via the Mageia Blog. The release schedule was previously updated to incorporate an additional beta that pushed back the final release of Mageia 3 until the third of May. Originally Mageia 3 was due to ship on 20 March, but there were a total of two delays with the release schedule.
Mageia 3 Beta 3 ships with the Linux 3.8 kernel, uses the older systemd 195 release while now using Journalctl by default rather than rsyslog, uses OverlayFS for the live CDs, and uses GRUB Legacy by default but has GRUB2 available as an experimental option.
More details on the new update for the post-Mandrake post-Mandriva successor can be found within the release notes.
