GhostBSD 3.0 Lets You Relive GNOME 2 On BSD

GhostBSD 3.0 is a BSD operating system derived from FreeBSD. What sets this apart from FreeBSD and the KDE-based PC-BSD is that it's shipping with the GNOME 2.x desktop environment. Openbox and LXDE are also available for this BSD OS.

GhostBSD 3.0 ships with an improved installer, the Openbox window manager, pre-installed NVIDIA binary drivers, 3D acceleration support for some Intel graphics cards, updates to the GhostBSD utilities, and much more. There's also a similar feature-set to FreeBSD 9.1 due to the shared packages, which includes Intel GEM/KMS support, improved ZFS file-system support, and much more.
