LibreOffice 4.1 Beta Arrives With New Features
The first beta of the LibreOffice 4.1 open-source office suite was released this past weekend.
The LibreOffice 4.1 Beta 1 announcement can be read at the DocumentFoundation.org while the interesting changes/features are cited within the tentative Wiki-based release notes.
LibreOffice 4.1 features include support for rotating images within the Writer word processor, support for embedding fonts into a document, selected cell counting for the Calc spreadsheet, improvements to the Calc formula engine, improved localization, the port to gnumake has been completed, and there's numerous other features.
The final release of LibreOffice 4.1 is expected by the end of July.
