OLPC OS 13.1.0 Supports The XO-4 Touch Laptop

OLPC OS 13.1.0 is a new release primarily intended for enabling support for the XO-4 laptop. The XO-4 laptop is slated to have two Marvell PJ4 1GHz ARM cores, a GC2000 3D graphics engine, 1GB or 2GB of RAM, and 4 or 8GB of NAND flash storage. The display is to be a 7.5-inch dual-mode TFT display while there will also be a XO-4 model with touchscreen support. Beyond OLPC OS 13.1.0 introducing support for this low-power, lightweight, and durable ARM laptop, it continues to maintain compatibility with the existing XO-1.75, XO-1.5, and XO-1 laptops.
The OLPC OS 13.1.0 release is based upon Fedora 18 and developers say there are some rough edges to it but more ironing out of bugs should happen for OLPC OS 13.2.0 in a few months time.
Other features of OLPC OS 13.1.0 include the Suguar 0.98 desktop environment, support for touch handling, improved internationalization support, USB-VGA support for SiS and DisplayLink USB-VGA adapters, and various bug-fixes.
