X3: Terran Conflict Hits Steam On Linux

I've received a couple emails from Phoronix readers reporting that X3: Terran Conflict is now available as of this morning through their Steam Linux accounts. However, no official announcement has yet to come out via Egosoft in press release form or through their social media accounts. The Terran Conflict game also had its SteamDB record updated just two hours ago.
This new Egosoft Linux game release comes after last November the German game company expressed interest in bringing games to Linux via Steam. Previously, Linux Game Publishing had ported their titles to Linux but now Egosoft is doing their Linux work in-house. Some of LGP's older Egosoft ports were X3: Reunion and X2: The Threat.
X3: Terran Conflict was first released in 2008 and marked the end of their X series of computer games. Terran Conflict is a standalone game that succeeded X3: Reunion. Now for Linux gamers there is now finally a native Linux client.
More details on the game can be found at Egosoft.com.
