AArch64 Called For Merging To GCC Trunk

Marcus Shawcroft of ARM Holdings has requested their AArch64 branch of GCC now be merged to trunk for providing mainline ARM 64-bit support in the de facto standard for open-source compilers. "We would like to request the merge of aarch64-branch into trunk."
The AArch64 GCC port is broken down into just ten patches.
It was just one week ago that the GCC Steering Committee expressed their approval of the AArch64 port. There's also been GCC ARMv8 32-bit work too.
Meanwhile, ARM's AArch64 64-bit support was merged into the Linux 3.7 kernel.
The ARMv8 / AArch64 work for the GCC compiler should be yet another feature of GCC 4.8.
