Mageia 3 Gets Its Second Alpha Release
The second alpha release of Mageia 3 is now available.
Mageia 3 is set to see its final release next March and this popular Mandriva fork will feature GRUB2 as the default boot-loader, migrates over to systemd, NVIDIA Optimus support, better Python 3 support, unifies the /usr directory, and many other changes.
Mageia 3 Alpha 2 is shipping with the Linux 3.5.5 kernel, systemd 193, GRUB2, OverlayFS for live CDs, KDE SC 4.9.1, RazorQt as the new Qt desktop alternative, LibreOffice 3.6, and many other package updates.
