Ubuntu TV To Get More Objectives In Ubuntu 13.04
Aside from looking at ways to make Ubuntu Linux a better gaming platform and possibly removing dependencies on GNOME fallback code, another discussion item for later this month in Copenhagen at UDS concerns the Ubuntu TV initiative.
There's been an Ubuntu TV prototype going back several months, but there's really no concrete plans for a big Ubuntu TV push until around the 14.04 LTS push. Ubuntu TV was discussed at the last UDS and it looks like it will be another topic for discussion later this month at the Ubuntu Developer Summit in Denmark.
New on the Ubuntu 13.04 UDS schedule is a topic on Ubuntu TV under the community track. "Define the work that can be done by members of the Ubuntu community on the TV in the next cycle, set goals and milestones to measure progress along the way, and identify key people and resources within Canonical that will be available."
Beyond that there's not many details publicly known right now about any TV plans for Ubuntu 13.04, but we should know come the final week of October.
