KDE's PackageKit-Based Apper Sees New Release

Apper 0.8.0 was released today and it takes advantage of the PackageKit 0.8 API. One of the big user benefits of the latest PackageKit work is support for parallel transactions through the daemon so packages can be installed while still carrying out other package-related tasks.
Aside from taking advantage of the latest PackageKit work, there's improved information when installing untrusted packages, user-interface/dialog improvements, automatic package downloading, the packagekit-qt API is now a bit lighter, several improvements to APTcc, and various other work.
More details on the KDE Apper 0.8.0 release can be found from this blog post.
