Intel 2.20.1 X.Org Driver Closes Critical Bugs

With the Intel 2.20 X.Org driver is where "Sandy Bridge New Acceleration" is built by default although not enabled by default unless modifying your xorg.conf (set AccelMethod to SNA) instead of the EXA-based UXA. Chris Wilson has been single-handedly advancing this Intel 2D acceleration architecture.
In the past week for xf86-video-intel 2.20.1 driver, Wilson made 83 changes to the driver and he's the only one packing any changes for this point release. The 2.20.1 driver has the restoration of DRI for i810, SNA fall-back fixes being broken on 64-bit machines when required clipping, support for snoopable buffrs on non-LLC architectures, improvements to the composite performance on GT2 Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge hardware, improved handling when acceleration is disabled, and shadow support was dropped from UXA with the recommendation to use SNA instead.
More details on xf86-video-intel 2.20.1 are available from the release announcement.
