The Clutter tool-kit and Cogl (Clutter's OpenGL component) have been updated to work against the latest Wayland Display Server code-base.

Various Intel developers have been working on Wayland and now Clutter/Cogl will work against the current Wayland Git master state.

Rob Bradford says in a blog post, "The Clutter client side support is basically complete so i've now moved onto working on GTK and MX – watch this space for updates!"

Below is a video demo of Clutter working successfully under Wayland.

Meanwhile Qt 4.8 was just released with its platform abstraction support that should allow good Wayland support in Qt 5.0. Enlightenment developers have also been working on Wayland support. 2012 should be interesting for the Wayland project.
