LLVM 3.0 Release Brings Lots Of Compiler Fun

Just as expected, LLVM 3.0 has been officially released along with updates to the DragonEgg and Clang compiler components.

The LLVM 3.0 release was made on Thursday by Apple's Chris Lattner after a brief delay. The release announcement with more details can be found in this mailing list message.

A few days ago I wrote about the exciting fun in LLVM 3.0 along with the Clang C/C++ compiler enhancements that have come in the past few months. That article contains the full details about what to expect from this open-source compiler infrastructure release. More LLVM 3.0 benchmarks are on the way.
